Michael Buchanan
Michael David
Buchanan was born in Nurnberg, Germany and raised in Atlanta, GA. He
attended Georgia Tech and Georgia State University where he received a
Masters in mathematics. A teacher and coach for over twenty-four years,
Michael has been recognized for his creativity in and out of the
classroom, having organized student diving expeditions to exotic sites
for over ten years. His passion of diving for artifacts and fossils
started at an early age, prompting his own personal travels throughout
North and Central America.
Buchanan has also been featured in USA Today and has published articles in several artifact magazines. He is currently working with Lang on one other work, The Cry of the Quetzal. Michael
currently lives in Alpharetta, Georgia. Michael's philosophy is shown
best by the words from Thomas Carlyle, "When you go as far as you can
see, then you can see further."

Diane Lang
Mary Diane Lang, born
and raised in the German and Irish culture of Cincinnati, attended the
local Catholic schools. She attended the University of Cincinnati and
Xavier University, receiving degrees in education and English. She also
attended the Queen Elizabeth College in London, England and studied
Mortimer Adler's philosophy of Paideia education at Xavier University.
Lang taught high
school and college English and Drama for over twenty years during which
time she was selected twice as Teacher of the Year. She has traveled
extensively, his trips ranging from scuba diving in the Caribbean to
hiking through the rain forests of Costa Rica.
In addition to Micah's Child, Lang has written plays, short stories, and poetry. She is currently working with Buchanan on one other work, The Cry of the Quetzal. Diane and her husband Don currently live in Cincinnati, Ohio. They have two children, Donald Jr. and Sarah Elizabeth.
