Deborah Meyer was born and raised in Vine Grove, KY, a very small town on the outskirts of Fort Knox. Having started writing at a very early age (her first book, How to Tie a Shoe, won a regional young writers award when she was only twelve), she decided to continue her study of literature and writing at the University of Kentucky, graduating with a degree in English. She then entered law school, graduating with her Juris Doctorate.

After practicing law for a brief time, Deborah left her firm to pursue an online publishing career. She went to work for an online legal publishing company, utilizing her writing skills to design hardcopy legal publications for an online environment. A working single mom, she never stopped writing, composing poetry and sketch notes for her upcoming novels. Having remarried, she finally found the stability she needed to take the first step towards her life's dream. As a ten-year veteran of the publishing industry, she decided to leave online behind and pursue her personal goal of founding her own publishing company.

In the summer of 2004, without a single signed title, a staff, or even a company name, Deborah founded Dragonon, Inc., a small publishing company based in the greater Cincinnati area. Now with several titles awaiting publication, consistent manuscript submissions, and a company brand, Deborah finds herself with an emerging company in the publishing industry. Not leaving her writing behind, however, she completed her novel Chosen, first sketched so many years ago, and is currently working on the second novel in the Chosen series. As the founder and current president of Dragonon and a working author, Deborah is striving to take the publishing industry by storm.

Deborah currently lives in the Cincinnati, OH area with her husband, Scott, and her two children.
